Employment
Indeed Flex is helping Ukrainian refugees find flexible jobs in the UK. Fill in the form with your details and experience, and they will contact you to arrange an online interview, which will be available in Ukrainian. The site is available in both Ukrainian and English.
Employ Ukraine has been set up to pair Ukrainians with suitable remote working opportunities. In Ukrainian
To look for a job, you can use a free government website called ‘Find a Job’ – to be connected with thousands of employers across the UK. You can search for jobs without an account, but to apply for a job you will need to create an account or sign in.
Many UK based firms have come forward with a pledge to offer jobs to Ukrainians. It may be worth reaching out to these companies directly to ask if they have any vacancies. Find a list here.
This website has information about free Ukrainian bank accounts you can set up in the UK. You will need a bank account before you can work.
Schools
Ukranian aid and welfare are delighted to announce that their Ukrainian School in Bristol will is open Saturdays 9:45am and will run until 12:00pm.
Venue: Ukrainian Hub Westbury on Trym Methodist Church, 46 Westbury Hill, Bristol BS9 3AA.
This is a very exciting moment for the Ukrainian community. They hope the school will provide a unique opportunity for your children to immerse themselves in Ukrainian culture, language and traditions.
After a few weeks, your child will begin to playfully get acquainted with tradtions and the history of Ukraine. The children will have the opportunity to communicate with their peers in their native language.
Children will be placed in appropriate classes after the first few lessons according to their level of knowledge.
You need to fill out the registration form and pay a £5 charitable contribution online on the website.
Together, they hope to instill love for the Ukrainian language and heritage in the hearts of your children.

This blog post from the UK Government advises families arriving from Ukraine on how to apply for a school place and childcare. This information is available in English and Ukrainian.
If you need help with organising school places, email attendanceandbelongingteam@bristol.gov.uk the council should help find your child a place.
The Bell Foundation has translated materials explaining the education system and also produced a number of resources to welcome refugee learners.
The Ministry has also launched the All-Ukrainian Online School – a platform with online lessons for Ukrainian students, organised by grade and subject. This allows Ukrainian children of each grade to follow a school week remotely, which follows the Ukrainian curriculum and is updated weekly. Corresponding resources are provided for each lesson.
The Ukrainian Institute team have compiled a list of Higher Education opportunities and resources for Ukrainian students and scholars in the UK, which is updated regularly
Childcare
There is some funding available for free childcare, depending on your circumstances. The UK Government’s Childcare Choices website is helpful in showing you your options.
