Bristol Mind is looking for two enthusiastic, committed advocates to work within our busy IMCA team. You will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs. Ideally, you will have an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including the Deprivation of Liberty safeguards; strong experience working with vulnerable adults who are affected by significant health and social care issues and unable to speak up for themselves; and experience of providing casework, and persuasive verbal and written representations, along with a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
The successful applicants will either have completed the IMCA/ DoLS training and qualification or be prepared to undertake the training and assessment work to gain the qualification.
The successful applicant will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to start as soon as possible (must be able to start before March 10th). This post will be based at our offices in Old Market, Bristol BS2 0EZ.
