Fishponds Women’s Support Group

Topics: ,

Fishponds Women’s Support Group has been running for 16 years, offering mutual support for women with shared experiences of mental illness.

Members meet weekly for coffee and a chat. Some members bring their knitting with them, others just come along. We also hope to run various activities for group members in future.

The group meets in Fishponds, Bristol, every week from 10:30-12:30.

The cost is £2 per session to cover venue hire plus 20p towards refreshments.

We love to welcome new members but suggest that before coming to one of our meetings, you phone or email first.  We will then confirm the next meeting and explain where to come.

‘Many Rethink mental illness groups are run by people with lived experience, carers or family members.  Group members listen and share experiences but do not give advice.  Groups may provide details of agencies whose role it is to provide advice.’

Our Rethink Mental Illness Advice & Information Service can help with a wide range of issues affecting people with mental illness, their family, friends and carers.
