Tom Hore, Bristol Mind Director, was recently invited by Willmott Dixon construction onto their Finzels Reach site in central Bristol to give a talk on mental health and wellbeing at work to workers at the site. Willmott Dixon made the invitation as part of their commitment to the new Mates in Mind initiative.
Mates in Mind has been set up by the Health in Construction Leadership Group (HCLG) with the support of the British Safety Council and is a charitable programme that aims to raise awareness and understanding of poor mental health in the construction sector. Mind is one of the core partners involved along with Mental Health First Aid England and The Samaritans.
