Kier construction raise £6,000 for Bristol Mind in 2020 challenge

One of the UK’s largest construction companies have just presented Bristol Mind with a cheque for an incredible £6,000  from their 2020 Challenge.   Starting at the most northerly Kier site on Orkney the challenge was to complete a route taking  in all Kier offices and as many sites as possible in  a  ‘green relay’ .  The green relay meant using only ‘non-motorised’ forms of transport such as walking, running, horse-riding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, land surfing, surfing, ice skating, cycling.  . The journey had to be completed in 2020 hours and finished at the most southerly site in Cornwall.  Staff and contractors  worked hard to raise money for  The Alzheimer’s Society who are the  Kier Foundation’s charity this year and for  local charities that were nominated by each of the local offices. Bristol Mind were fortunate to be nominated by the south west office and are enormously grateful  for such a large amount of money.                                     Tom Hore, Director of Bristol Mind receiving a cheque from Kier Construction for £6,000
