Some of Bristol’s best poets are coming together for a truly unique event at Glenside Hospital Museum on Thursday 22 November 2018, to raise money for both Bristol Mind and the Hospital Museum.
Hosted by Milk Poetry (“Bristol’s most nurturing poetry organisation, featuring the best in spoken word from the UK and beyond. Our monthly Slam event has been named one of the UK’s top spoken word nights by Picador Books”) and the Glenside Hospital Museum (“Glenside Hospital Museum provides a rare opportunity for people to discuss mental illness and incapacity through an examination of the past..we are determined to change negative attitudes about mental illness, and to speak out…”) the night is going to be bursting with amazing poetry from Malaika Kegode, Beth Calverley, Tom Denbigh and Sam Grudgings (Milk Poetry), Claire Guest, Connor MacLeod and Pascal Vine (from Bath) and Josie Alford and Callum Wensley (Hammer and Tongue).
