Outreach Advocacy volunteering

We are not currently recruiting and do not expect to do so before Autumn 2018 – please keep an eye on our website for announcements.  The next training is likely to be in 2019.

You do not need to have any experience but a keen interest in mental health and the ability to write clearly will be advantageous.  We require volunteers to be flexible in their time commitment so this opportunity probably won’t suit you if you work full-time.  Our other volunteering may be more appropriate for you. Our experience has shown that people who live more than 6 miles away from our offices have difficulty fulfilling the commitment required.  We also do not pay travel expenses for journeys over this length.

You will need to come to an Introductory Session before putting in your application.  Please check our website for details once we have started recruiting again.

The information below is to give you a better picture of what volunteering for the Outreach Advocacy Service is about.  Up-to-date versions will replace this once we start recruiting again.

Please read the information below especially the Information Pack and the Person Specification if you are interested in becoming a volunteer with us as this should provide you with what you need to know.

If you have any queries please email advocacy@bristolmind.org.uk or telephone Claire Barnard on 0117 9800 376.
