On Friday 19 April a team of volunteers staged a bucket collection for Mind at Ashton Gate stadium prior to the Bristol City V Reading match. The collection was one of many taking place at football grounds across the country as part of the two year partnership between Mind and the English football League.
All the collectors reported very positive comments from people about Mind and we raised over £500, over which over £400 will come to Bristol Mind to use in the local area. Following the collection, the collectors got a chance to watch the match which finished as a 1-1 draw.
We’d like to publicly thank our volunteers, the supporters of both teams who donated money, Bristol Sport and the football club for facilitating the collection.
