If you’re looking for advice and information about mental health support services that could help you, please consider also calling our Information Line on 0117 980 0370.

Bristol Mindline is here to support residents of Bristol and surrounding area. If you live outside this area you can get information on support services closer to you from the Helplines Partnership or the national Mind InfoLine on 0300 123 3393 (Mon to Fri, 9.00am – 6.00pm).

Safe, confidential supportblue-phone-receiver

You can talk things through with one of our trained listeners and receive emotional support. Or we can just listen. You don’t have to tell us your name.

Calls can last up to 30 minutes per evening. This allows the volunteers to really listen carefully to what you have to say. It also allows us to support as many people as possible.

Whilst most calls are confidential, sometimes we have to pass information on. Read the exceptions to confidentiality for details.

Volunteering on the helpline

Many of our listeners are volunteers, and we are currently recruiting for new volunteers. Find out more about volunteering on our volunteering page.

Help promote our services

Download our Mindline Poster and stick it up in your local library, cafe, GP, public notice board… anything you can do to help promote the Mindline will only help to get the word out to more people who may need that extra space to talk and the emotional support the helpline can bring.

Have your say for your Bristol Mind

We are reaching out to our service users and members of the community because we want to hear from you.

We know that people are dealing with all manner of challenges post-Covid and in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis.

At Bristol Mind, we want to deliver the best possible services and we so we are designing a new project which works directly with you: exploring what we mean by inclusive and accessible mental health and wellbeing support, and how you would want to be involved in designing and delivering better services.

As a starting point we invite you to fill in this detailed survey (which takes about 10 minutes to complete), you are welcome to remain anonymous, however you are welcome to provide your personal details if you’d like to be involved in further design workshops as the project progresses. We want to hear from a range of people, especially those who might not normally engage with mental health and wellbeing activities.
