MindLine Trans+ volunteering
In preparation for the launch of our new Trans specific service, Bristol MindLine are keen to recruit Transgender volunteers.
Trans volunteers wanted
In conjunction with national Mind, Bristol MindLine will be opening a new Trans specific emotional support and information signposting helpline, covering the south west of England.
In preparation for the launch of this service we are keen to recruit Transgender volunteers.
Volunteers receive comprehensive training for the helpline and information service and then work on a rota basis answering calls on Mondays, 8pm to midnight (volunteers based in Taunton and recruited through Taunton Mind will cover the Friday evening service).
Volunteers also have the opportunity to work on our existing MindLine helpline service which operations Wed-Sun 8pm to midnight)

What we expect from you:
- agree to work with us for at least a year
- attend all the training sessions
- work a four-hour shift each fortnight
- receive supervision after you have worked on the helpline
- attend volunteer meetings
Training Info for Volunteers
Mindline has a long standing reputation of providing excellent training. Volunteers on our Trans service will be required to attend training before they can work on the Trans helpline. This training takes place in May and June 2017 over approx. 6 weeks, during which time there are five Monday all day sessions (9.30am to 5pm) and six Wednesday evening sessions (6.30 to 9pm). You MUST be able to make all the training days and evenings. The next volunteer training will commence on the Wednesday 3rd May 2017 followed by consecutive Mondays.
